Makalu is a gem of a restaurant right in between East Arlington and Arlington center. They don't have a massive menu, but they have a nice mix of Indian staples and Nepali specialties. We really love stopping in for pani puri and a Thali to for the nice variety of dishes.

I highly recommend dining in at Makalu! We just had the best experience there for dinner. The vibe was amazing, we loved the ambiance, the owners clearly put a lot of love and labor into the aesthetic of the space and it’s beautiful! We also LOVED our meal.

Had dinner with 3 friends and we had a lovely time. The atmosphere is chic and modern and the food was delicious and carefully prepared and presented. The service was warm and friendly and the owner even came out to greet us and make sure we enjoyed our experience. I highly recommend them!

I absolutely loved this place. Honestly, I dont have a refined palate, but whatever vegetarian spicy dish they brought me we great. The two people running the place were as nice as could be. I absolutely loved the vibe, just a tiny thoughtful space.
